Make a Page
In the dashboard, create a new page called Home. No content needed yet.
Set Homepage
Go to Settings → Reading and set Home as your front page.

Let’s create a custom page and set that as our homepage.
It’s gonna consist of two steps. First, we need to make sure that a page exists. And second, we are going to tell WordPress that that page is the front page.
First, let’s go into our dashboard and make a new page. We don’t need to add any content to it at this time, we just want to make sure that it exists. So I’ve created a page and I’ve called it home.
Now let’s go into “Settings”, “Reading” and set this page as our front page.
Unless you want a page that is going to exist for your posts in chronological order, you don’t need to set a post page.
When I visit the homepage, it now has home, which is my page title. Next, we’ll actually add content to this page.
