The header is the first thing visitors see when they land on your website, so it’s crucial to get it right. Here’s how to set up and customize your header in Creator Theme.
Step 1: Access the Header Template
- Navigate to Appearance > Editor > Templates.
- Look for the template labeled global-header or a similar name, depending on how your theme is structured.
Step 2: Customize Your Header Layout
- Add a Logo: Click on the logo block to upload your logo. Adjust the size and placement to ensure it looks balanced.
- Add Navigation: Insert a navigation block if it’s not already there. Choose which menu to display or create a new one by going to Appearance > Menus.
- Include Additional Elements: Depending on your design, you may want to add social media icons, a search bar, or a call-to-action button.
- Use the “Media Header” Pattern: Implement the “Media Header” pattern if you want to incorporate dynamic media elements like videos or large images in your header.
Step 3: Style Your Header
- Colors and Fonts: Customize the color of your text, background, and links to match your brand. Adjust the font settings under the Global Styles panel.
- Spacing and Alignment: Use the block settings to adjust the spacing and alignment of your header elements, ensuring everything is well-proportioned.
Step 4: Save and Preview
- Click Save to apply your changes, then preview your site to make sure the header looks good on all devices.
